01 Selected work

Two projects, two kinds of proof.

Pametni Advokat, a production SaaS built for law offices in Serbia, and Ariaska RL, the founder’s public research project in multi-agent reinforcement learning — engineering for production next to research that states its limits.

Production product

Pametni Advokat

A production web platform for Serbian law offices: cases, clients, hearings and deadlines, private documents, fees under the bar tariff and invoicing in one system — with an AI assistant that prepares and checks while the lawyer decides.

Pametni Advokat is the full stack in one product: an isolated multi-tenant data model in PostgreSQL, private document storage, billing rules enforced in the database and an AI assistant that prepares while the lawyer decides.

Multi-agent reinforcement learning research

An experimental research platform by founder Filip Volf: five agents with distinct roles learn through reinforcement learning in isolated, simulated environments, with a language model as an optional mentor that can be switched off.

02 Services

Twelve services across the whole stack.

Organised in three groups: building the product; the data, AI and platform it rests on; and review and continuity, so the system stays sound. Each service has its own page.

Build

What people see and work in — the product itself, its design, the application interface and the public website.

  1. 01

    Custom software & SaaS

Outcome: One system of record instead of scattered tools.

  2. 02

    Product & UX/UI design

Outcome: A product shaped around the real work — agreed before the build begins.

  3. 03

React, Next.js & TypeScript front ends

Outcome: Interfaces people use quickly — and developers change safely.

  4. 04

    Websites & technical SEO

Outcome: One consistent story for people, search engines and AI tools.

Data, AI & platform

What sits behind the interface — data models and APIs, applied AI, ML prototypes and the cloud infrastructure everything runs on.

  1. 05

    APIs, backend architecture & PostgreSQL

Outcome: Business rules enforced once, where the data lives.

  2. 06

    Applied AI & business automation

Outcome: Less manual work, with a person accountable for every decision.

  3. 07

    ML & AI R&D prototypes

Outcome: Evidence to build, rework or stop, from experiments you can rerun.

  4. 08

    Cloud infrastructure & integrations

Outcome: Routine releases and observable integrations.

Review & continuity

What keeps a system sound over time — security designed in, written reviews, upgrades, maintenance and engineering capacity under a B2B contract.

  1. 09

    Security-aware architecture

Outcome: Security decisions made deliberately — and written down.

  2. 10

    Technical audit & architecture consulting

Outcome: What to fix first, what can wait — and why.

  3. 11

    Software modernisation & maintenance

Outcome: The software you already rely on, safe to change again.

  4. 12

    Remote engineering partnership (B2B)

Outcome: More engineering capacity, with clear ownership and a clear contract.

03 Working together

A registered company, in your time zone.

For companies in Serbia, and in Croatia and other EU countries, that want engineering under a clear B2B contract — working directly with the engineer who builds the system.

01Registered in Serbia
DEUS Engineering is the brand of FILIP VOLF PR DEUS INŽINJERING, which contracts and invoices B2B, company to company.
02CET working hours
Leskovac keeps Central European Time, like Zagreb, Vienna and Berlin — meetings, reviews and releases fit your working day.
03English and Serbian
Specifications, code review and documentation in English; conversations in Serbian whenever that is easier for your team.
04Remote-first
Work happens in your repositories, tickets and chat, with decisions and status written down rather than kept in someone’s memory.

Scope, terms and pricing are agreed in writing before work begins.

04 Process

From first conversation to production.

A deliberate process that keeps you informed and in control at every step — no surprises about what is being built, or why.

  1. 01

    Discover

We map the real workflow, data and constraints before any code is written, so the system fits how you actually work.

OutcomeA shared understanding of the problem and a proposed scope.

  2. 02

    Design

We design the structure, data model and security boundaries, and agree scope, priorities and trade-offs with you.

    OutcomeAn agreed plan and architecture.

  3. 03

    Build

We build in focused increments you can see and use, with tests, review and security engineered in — not added later.

OutcomeWorking software, reviewed as it grows.

  4. 04

    Launch & evolve

We deploy to production, hand over cleanly, and stay available to evolve the system as your needs change.

OutcomeA system in production, documented and supported.

What does DEUS Engineering do?

DEUS Engineering is a software engineering company from Leskovac, Serbia. It designs, builds, reviews and maintains custom software and SaaS, websites, APIs, applied AI, ML prototypes and cloud infrastructure for companies in Serbia, Croatia and the EU — twelve services, each with its own page. Its own production product is Pametni Advokat.

Do you work with companies in Croatia and other EU countries?

Yes. DEUS is a registered Serbian company that contracts and invoices B2B, works remotely in the Central European time zone and communicates in English or Serbian.

Which technologies do you work with?

Mainly TypeScript, React and Next.js on the front end; Node.js, PostgreSQL and Supabase on the back end; Python for AI and data work; Vercel, GitHub Actions and Docker for delivery. The choice follows the problem and what your team can maintain.

Can you join our existing team and codebase?

Yes. In a remote engineering partnership DEUS works in your repositories and through your code-review process, under a B2B contract. A short technical consultation is a good first step.

How do you use AI?

Inside well-defined tasks — drafting, checking, extracting and summarising — with model calls made from the server, as little data as the task needs, and a person approving the result. In Pametni Advokat, for example, the AI assistant prepares and checks; the lawyer decides.

How do you approach security?

As part of the architecture rather than a final step: access rules in the database, private storage, secrets kept on the server, security headers and dependency checks in CI. Pametni Advokat, for example, isolates every office’s data with PostgreSQL Row Level Security.

How do we start?

Email contact@deusengineering.com or use the contact form with a short description of what you want to build, how the work is done today and any constraints. If you would rather talk it through first, request a consultation.

Next step

Let’s talk about what you’re building.

Describe what you need built or fixed, how the work runs today and the constraints. You get clarifying questions or a first outline of the approach — by email, in English or Serbian.
